Back in 2021, I started shooting live music to meet other artists in Sydney’s music scene. At the time, I was trying to get my own rock band off the ground. Of course, the band fell apart - as only the best ones do. But, what started as a little hustle with my camera turned into a passion of its own. I continued to shoot show after show in Sydney’s underground scene. There was something I liked about distilling the experience of a gig into a handful of precious moments.

This year, I took a leap by moving to Melbourne after hearing about its music scene. Since then, I decided to venture out of the underground to shoot bigger acts in bigger venues. So far, I’ve had the joy of shooting in venues such as Forum Melbourne, Melbourne Town Hall, Northcote Theatre, and John Cain Arena.

I have also been documenting my photography journey online by sharing my work and what I’ve been learning. To my surprise, I was able to build an engaged audience. In the span of a couple of months, I have gained 9,000 followers on Instagram. I have also built an online community on Skool with over 1,000 members inside - making it the largest photography group on the platform.

The mission right now is to simply keep going.
